We’ve always believed that good food, great company, and stunning vineyard views should be something everyone can enjoy — and now, it’s official!
We’re incredibly proud to share that Monkey Nut Café, located on the Kies Family Wines estate, has received two important accessibility accreditations from the Tourism Industry Council South Australia (TICSA):
- Limited Mobility Accreditation
- Wheelchair Friendly Accreditation
These recognitions mean that our café meets the technical accessibility standards for people using wheelchairs, scooters, and other mobility aids — so more visitors can enjoy everything Monkey Nut has to offer with comfort and confidence.
What You Can Expect
Whether you’re dropping by for a relaxed brunch, a long lunch with friends, or a quiet coffee overlooking the vines, you can count on a warm welcome and accessible facilities, including:
- Step-free entry and smooth pathways
- Accessible bathrooms
- Wheelchair- and scooter-friendly seating
- Designated accessible parking close to our café
- Friendly staff always ready to assist
We’ve taken the time to make sure our café space is not only physically accessible, but also welcoming and inclusive for guests of all ages and abilities.
Why Accessibility Matters to Us
At Monkey Nut Café, we’re part of a proud, family-run wine and hospitality business. And in our family, everyone has a seat at the table. These accreditations reflect a commitment we’ve always had: to ensure that our space is open, comfortable, and inclusive for all.
Whether you’re a local looking for your weekend coffee spot, a tourist exploring the Barossa, or attending a special event like Gather Round Barossa, you’ll find Monkey Nut Café ready to welcome you — no matter your mobility needs.
