The winter school holidays are all about slowing down, spending time together and making memories with the people who matter most.

This July, we’re excited to be partnering with Barossa Wildlife Rescue to bring a little extra meaning to your family outing at Monkey Nut Café.

Many of you may have already met Milo the Wallaroo. Despite his small size, Milo made a huge impression on our family and reminded us just how much work goes on behind the scenes to care for injured and orphaned wildlife throughout the Barossa.

Every day, the dedicated volunteers at Barossa Wildlife Rescue spend countless hours rescuing, feeding and caring for native animals. Often, that work continues long into the night.

To help raise awareness and support their incredible efforts, we’re launching our Winter School Holiday Wildlife Warriors campaign.

Kids Packs Supporting Local Wildlife

Throughout the school holidays, children can enjoy a special Wildlife Warriors Kids Pack featuring:

• Chicken nuggets and chips
• Dandy ice cream
• Cadbury Furry Friends chocolate
• A special wildlife colouring and activity sheet

Best of all, $1 from every Kids Pack sold will be donated directly to Barossa Wildlife Rescue.

Meet Milo

During the school holidays, we’ll also be hosting special wildlife information sessions featuring Milo the Wallaroo, where families can learn more about local wildlife, rescue work and how we can all help protect our native animals.

Session dates will be announced soon.

Tractor Photo Station

Kids can climb aboard our tractor and snap a photo while helping a great cause.

Visitors can make a gold coin donation or contribute via QR code, with all funds supporting Barossa Wildlife Rescue.

Relax While the Kids Explore

While the children complete their colouring sheets, enjoy the beautiful vineyard views with a coffee, lunch or glass of wine.

With plenty of open space, family-friendly dining and activities designed especially for young wildlife lovers, Monkey Nut Café is the perfect destination these school holidays.
